Notice of claimed infringement — § 512(c)(3)
A complete notice includes all of the following:
- Your name, mailing address, email, and electronic or physical signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, and the listing URL or id on BotBagger.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act.
Incomplete notices are not processed. Misrepresentation can create liability under § 512(f).
Counter-notification — § 512(g)
If your listing was disabled and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the designated agent with your contact details, the listing id, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, consent to federal court jurisdiction, and your signature. We forward it to the claimant. We may restore the listing between 10 and 14 business days later unless the claimant notifies us that they filed an action seeking a court order.
Repeat infringers lose listing privileges. This page is process, not legal advice.
